Atlese Robinson is a multi-disciplinary artist focusing in theatre. Intrigued by history, both personal and cultural, Atlese develops, performs, and supports work that illuminates the Black American experience as a means of connecting across the African Diaspora. Their local credits include director for 20% Theatre Company’s production of Naked I: Self Defined, production assistant for Penumbra Theatre Company’s production of The Owl Answers and Dutchman, and production assistant for Pillsbury House + Theatre’s production of Scapegoat. Atlese is also a Q-STAGE 2016-2017 Review Committee Member, serving in their third year. Currently, Atleseis developing their chapbook REAWAKENing: For Those Suffering from Silence into an ensemble piece, produced by Brown Eye Theatre Company. Atlese is thrilled to continue to create and co-create theatrical works that explore history and healing for the African Diaspora.
