Beliza Torres Narváez

Beliza Torres Narváez is an artist/scholar/educator, and theatre professor at Augsburg University. Since moving to the Minneapolis in 2015 she has directed Karina Casiano’s Silence is Health (Augsburg), she was a puppeteer in Bookworms Tales (HOTB), and she presented her solo performance Resabios de Amargura or that bitter cabaret (Strike Theatre). She is currently working as a dancer in Pedro Lander's Noche Bomba opening in May as part of 20% Theatre’s Q Stage, and she is devising with other local Puerto Rican actors Paper Towels and Plantains, a show about the aftermath of Hurricane María for the 2018 Fringe Fest. Beliza is also a fellow of the Pangea Theatre Arts Organizing Institute.
