Dua is a multidisciplinary performing artist with a haunting, retrospective sound. Using diverse afro-diasporic influences, the work produced by this artist provides audiences with ripe and unrefined emotions. Dua has gained the gained the attention of artists throughout the Twin Cities, landing the artist the 2017 VERVE Grant, readings at places such as the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, and a leading role in Sweetness of Wild.
Though gaining attention as a performing artist, Saleh has primarily been known for political organizing and workshop facilitation throughout the state of Minnesota through organizations and programs such as Neighborhoods Organizing for Change, Unchain Our Children, Fighting Injustice Through Human Rights, and more. Saleh hopes to explore art as a means to engage in complex expressions of humanity.
